TH's BotL2 ROUND NINE TIME!

Inside the studio, Xero and Maurice were getting comfortable in their seats.

"I have to say, it's good to be back in these seats." Maurice said.

"Indeed." Xero nodded.  "Welcome back to the Round Updates of the Battle of the Luminaries 2.  Round Nine is coming up, which means we are almost to double digits."

"For now, let's see who we're supposed to be rooting for this round..." Maurice said as the television clicked on.

PINKIE PIE

"First off, our fourth wall-breaking pony is still in action." Xero said.  "Eliminating the likes of ROB and Mario from Super Smash Bros, Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura, Amber Hearts from Tales of, and Ralf Jones from King of Fighters: Maximum Impact, she is starting to become a fan favorite!"

"But will this be the end of the rope for Pinkie, or does she have another trick up her sleeve?" Maurice asked.

"Raven is indeed showing her worth, but will it be enough for another elimination to clinch her MVP, or is this it for her?" Xero asked.

"As well as Wander Over Yonder.  Why do you ask?" Xero asked.

"No reason..." Maurice groaned, hoping that this wouldn't be another of Xero's running gags...

"Indeed." Maurice nodded.  "Now with her back in the ring, let's see if Noel can show more potential!  By the way, Dandy J does make a point.  So far, we've seen three of the Final Ten each making a section in a row.  Who on the Final Ten is left?"

"Well..." Xero paused.  "The people that are left are Luise Meyrink, Reapermon, Mewtwo and Kurow.  And seeing as Rival Schools isn't in this competition, unless Kurow is somehow a Mystery Fighter, there's only three people from the original top 10 that can enter at any time.  So yeah."

"Wow..." Maurice paused.

FLUTTERSHY

"Another member of the Mane 6 has entered the ring!" Maurice said.  "I think Fluttershy may do well, depending on the circumstances..."

"Say, have you noticed a pattern?" Xero blinked.

"What's that?" Maurice asked.

"It seems that every three sections, one of the Mane 6 is one of the next fighters.  I could be reading too much into this, and I may be wrong, but if this keeps up, the rest of the Mane 6 will each have a fighter in Sections 12, 15 and 18 respectively.  That's if we get that far." Xero said.

Maurice paused as he looked at his papers.  "Wow... you know, I never noticed that... you just blew my mind."

"I figured." Xero smiled.

BLANKA

"What?  I already made my Steve reference back at Agumon's." Xero frowned.  "I don't want to overkill it."

"Well, anyway, Blanka is back.  Let's see how much damage he can do." Maurice said.

A new alarm then started to blare, this time a song that sang "Time for Mystery Fighters!"

"Here's our new Mystery Fighter alarm!" Maurice smiled.

"And here is Mystery Fighter Seventeen!" Xero smiled.

KIRA DAIDOHJI

"Ah, okay.  I think I've heard about this one." Xero said.

"Yeah, we never played it, but we have heard about this one." Maurice said.  "Arcana Heart is a 2D fighting game, usually with a female cast.  On arcades, Playstations 2 and 3 and Xbox 360."

"As for the character herself..." Xero blinked as she looked at her picture.  "Are those cat ears on her head?  So, we have ANOTHER cat-girl here?  COOL!"

"I don't know for sure, they might be." Maurice said.  "Point is, she can control water.  And she doesn't like people swimming in her water.  I smell a possible running gag."

"Oh, do tell!" Xero smiled.

KING DEDEDE

"Also, we forgot to mention the side battle last time, it was Raven from Tales of AND Raven from Tekken 5 against a horde of Murkrow and Honchkrow, though if you've read the last section, you'd probably already knew." Maurice said.
