Inside the studio, Xero and Maurice were yawning as they got comfortable in their chairs.

"Honestly, it's too early in the morning for this..." Xero said.  "Hey folks, welcome back.  As you can see, we just woke up."

"Yep." Maurice nodded.  "Another episode of the Battle of the Luminaries has just finished, and we are here to give our comments on the ten fighters who advanced."

"But first, let's give our thoughts to the people who, in the past got eliminations, but got eliminated without eliminations this round." Xero said.

SETH

"Well, Arakune did a lot of work on the field, being able to eliminate newcomer Wii Fit Trainer from Smash Bros." Maurice explained.

"Unfortunately, Arakune could not muster a second elimination unlike last time, and thus is here as a result." Xero explained.  "But he did do all right while he was here..."

RIPTO

NODE: SPYRO THE DRAGON

OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 1

"Well, nice Ripto may have gotten an elimination from Bianca from his own node, but at least SOMEBODY eliminated him before he became another Caius Qualls." Xero said.

"I know!  Could you imagine just how creepy that would be?" Maurice asked.

RAINBOW DASH

NODE: MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC

OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 16

"From her big streak of fifteen eliminations in the first Battle of the Luminaries to... one." Maurice said.  "Ouch."

"Well, there are a few more popular choices." Xero said.  "Anyway, Rainbow did good eliminating Nash from Crash Bandicoot, but in a way, it's sad to see that she's gone so soon, especially since she was one of the big characters from last year."

"Guess people wanted more variety." Maurice said.

"Yeah, that could be it." Xero said.

ARINA

NODE: WAKU WAKU 7

OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 3

"Well, Arina did a lot better than last year, getting her second elimination in the form of Roy from Smash Bros." Xero said.

"Sadly, it wasn't quite enough, before she was eliminated." Maurice explained.  "Well, it was pretty good for her while it lasted."

LUCARIO

NODE: SUPER SMASH BROS./POKEMON

OVERALL ELIMINATIONS: 7

"Well, Lucario can at least say he did better in this tournament." Maurice said.  "He has seven overall eliminations, his fourth elimination in the second tournament being Jet the Hawk from Crash Bandicoot."

"At least we saw the Mega Lucario in action." Xero said.  "Now I'm hyped.  Mega Mewtwo, when or if Mewtwo comes out?  Personally, I'd like to see Tail-Head Mewtwo."

"Mega Mewtwo-Y?" Maurice asked.

"He's Tail-Head Mewtwo in my books." Xero smiled.  "Well, anyway, let's see our ten fighters that made the round!"

WRECK-IT RALPH

NODE: WRECK-IT RALPH

"Well, I guess it shouldn't be a surprise." Xero smiled.  "Wreck-It Ralph has been proven to be a good fighter, in and out of the ring.  With his current eliminations of Arina from Waku Waku 7 and Seth from King of Fighters: Maximum Impact, Ralph has made himself a legend."

"At the same time, though, his character here just screams, 'Side Plot device', so unless people like Ralph and want him to stay for the long run... well, let's not dwell on it now." Maurice said.  "I'll save it for the next round."

STARSCREAM

NODE: TRANSFORMERS

"After defeating Lloyd Irving from Tales of, Starscream has shown that... he's a cheater." Maurice said.  "Yes, Starscream eliminated Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony through unfair means.  No wonder most of the fighters, save Ralph and two others, wanted to have a piece of him."

"I don't know, I still feel Starscream has more potential, I mean, he DID get rid of Rainbow Dash." Xero said.  "Personally, next chapter, I want to see where this goes..."

VECTOR THE CROCODILE

NODE: SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

"It's been a while, but finally, we see a Sonic character moving on to the next round." Xero smiled.  "And it's 'Find the Computer Room' Vector, of all people!  Anyway, his eliminations this round consist of Vega from Street Fighter EX and Big Mac from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic."

"Indeed, Vector has gotten a lot of fame, but he still has a LONG way to go." Maurice explained.

DOT WARNER

NODE: ANIMANIACS!

"Well, in typical Warner Bros and Warner Sister fashion, Dot Warner has proven herself tougher than anybody in this ring!" Maurice said.  "Her two eliminations with Hyena from King of Fighters: Maximum Impact and Richter Abend from Tales of have proven that she is indeed, worthy."

"I love Dot in this ring.  I think she may be either a replacement Pinkie Pie OR somebody new all together!" Xero said.  "Personally, I hope she goes on and dominates this ring!"

GABUMON

NODE: DIGIMON RUMBLE ARENA

"Well, after getting no eliminations last year, Gabumon FINALLY succeeds in doing something right, but eliminating both Yoshi and Lucario from Smash Bros, the latter as Garurumon." Xero explained.

"Indeed, but NOW he's just getting into 'Side Plot Device' mode." Maurice said.  "I'll talk about it next round, but trust me on this."

KANJI TATSUMI

NODE: PERSONA 4 ARENA

"And may I say thank you to Kanji for getting rid of Ripto from Spyro before he could be the next Caius Qualls?" Maurice asked.  "It's amazing Kanji is doing great here."

"I know!" Xero said.  "Hunter just better hope he's not in the same section as Kanji when he gets there..."

M. BISON

NODE: STREET FIGHTER EX

"Yes!  Yes!" Xero smiled.

"Been a while since you did a small meme." Maurice noted.

"Anyway, with that out of the way, M. Bison has just got his second elimination in the form of Ivy Valentine from Soul Calibur IV." Xero said.

"Indeed, but as mentioned, I think I'll mention this later." Maurice explained.

RAVEN

NODE: TEEN TITANS

"Ten eliminations.  TEN eliminations." Maurice said.  "I think Raven may as well be on her way."

"Indeed, last year, Rainbow Dash eliminated Judith from Tales of, so here, Raven does!" Xero said.  "I say that's good work."

CRASH BANDICOOT

"Well, Crash is just as great as he was when doing his battles." Xero explained. "His elimination of Arakune from Blazblue is taking up a storm!"

"Crash is the main character of his franchise, of course he would do well." Maurice smiled.

PULLUM PURNA

"And our final fighter coming in, JUST by a little, is Pullum Purna, who has eliminated Hong Yun-Seong from Soul Calibur IV." Maurice explained.

"Yes!" Xero smiled. "You keep the cute ones!"

"Well, that's the ten moving on." Maurice said.  "Good-bye, Roy, Bianca, Yoshi, Lucario, Arina, Ivy Valentine, Big Mac, Nash, Seth, Rainbow Dash, Ripto and Arakune."

"And welcome to the next round, Raven, Wreck-It Ralph, M. Bison, Gabumon, Dot Warner, Vector the Crocodile, Kanji Tatsumi, Starscream, Pullum Purna and Crash Bandicoot." Xero said.  "You ten have proven your worth!"

"Let's update the stats!" Maurice smiled.
